Pledge Drive Special

Tonight, 22 March at 9pm, The WJFF BritMix will be giving away pair of tickets to see British chanteuse Barb Jungr (left, click to enlarge) during three week April residency at New York's Metropolitan Room. Barb will be presenting The Man in The Long Black Coat, her evening of the songs of Bob Dylan. I have a pair of tickets, and a signed CD of The Man in The Long Black Coat album, to give away.

"Ms. Jungr was the first to show, and brilliantly so, that Dylan songs can be "unlocked" by singers outside of the folk and rock genres and that they're no less suitable as raw material for reinterpretation than those of Gershwin or Berlin. She forges a truly cosmic connection between singer and songwriter, performer and material, artist and art." The Wall Street Journal
